Rebound Suspension, based in Bolton have become the latest local mountain bike business to support PMBA with a generous donation. Rebound, run by a mountain biker for mountain bikers offers servicing and repair for all the main forks and rear shocks including Fox, Rockshox, Marzocchi Manitou and Pace. Only using manufacturer approved parts and lubes they can typically turn around fork or shock in one to two days. A full health check is part of the service when ever a component comes in giving you the chance to get repairs done before any damage becomes costly. Rebound can also service suspension pivot bearings, adjustable seat posts shock bushes.
Their website, www.reboundsuspension.co.uk provides a full listing of what they can do for you along with FAQs, contact details and pricing.
Blackburn and District Mountain bikers have also recently renewed their membership which is greatly appreciated as it's good to have the ongoing support from the original founder members of PMBA who helped get it off the ground in the first place. Borderline events, who are already PMBA sponsors, have also made another generous donation, this time to the trail building fund at Gisburn which was very quickly converted into much needed tools.
The Forest of Bowland AONB have also very generously supported the trail builders at Gisburn by providing half the funding needed to buy two new Honda power carriers with the Forestry Commission finding the remaining money. The two existing carriers have been worked to death and have made a massive difference to what the volunteers can achieve. Cathy Hopley, Development and Funding Officer for The Forest of Bowland AONB, came to the latest volunteer dig day last Sunday to hand the carriers over and take a few pictures whilst they were still shiny. They were then well and truly christened hauling gravel and stone to finish the new alternate line to the Staircase at the end of Homebaked. Here's Ant and Terry who built it testing it.
