Pennine Bridleway Guided Rides

GuidedRidesBill Brady has just sent us this years program of guided rides taking in the the Pennine Bridleway and some of the other great riding available in and around the Lancashire Pennines.

Bill is the Pennine Bridleway ranger covering the Mary Towneley Loop and beyond so if you want to ride the routes with someone who really knows them he's you man. If that's not enough Lee & Cragg Quarries legend Tony Lund will also supporting some of the rides.

Five guided rides have been planned:

  • Mary Towneley Loop - Wednesday 20th June 2012
    The full 47 miles, classified as a hard ride.
  • Quarries, Bridleways and National Trails Monday 10th September 2012
    An 18 mile loop of local bridleways and the Pennine Bridleway finishing off with Cragg and Lee Quarry, classified as a medium ride.
  • The Reservoir Ride - Wednesday 12th September 2012
    A 20 mile loop around the reservoirs in the South Pennines taking in some of the Pennine Bridleway, classified as a medium ride.
  • Calderdale Loop - Friday 14th September 2012
    A 17 mile ride taking in the Pennine Bridleway in the Calderdale area, classified as a medium ride.
  • Mary Towneley Loop - Friday 21st September 2012
    The full 47 miles, classified as a hard ride.

If you've been thinking of tackling the Mary Towneley Loop but found it just too daunting without support or fancy exploring the bridleway network then get yourself signed up. Booking is essential for all these rides.
