It's official, we have passed the 2km mark for volunteer hand built trail. Actually with well passed it, no was keeping track until Martin Colledge got his measuring wheel out. The official figure currently stands at 2028m. A cracking achievement in just over 2 years of digging. So far volunteers have built the Homebaked section, Log Rides and are now finishing off the Eggberry Road bypass. In addition to this new build over seventy tonnes of limestone was laid in trail repairs to Hully Gully last winter and additional repair work has been carried out on the Homebaked section.
A mention must also be made of the work the Forestry guys are currently doing to repair the upper sections of the top loop, we're already seeing significant improvements and Martin's got further repairs planned.
