'BIG DAY OUT' RETURNS
A year ago local rider Sam Hopley organised a get-together at Lee Quarry, called the 'Big Day Out'. The aim of the day was to show support for the quarry which had been outlined as one of the countryside locations to be cut from the councils budget. The day was a huge success and the quarry saw over 400 riders enjoying the trails on the 28th February 2016. The day is set to return on the Sunday 5th March 2017.
Lee Quarry is a great place to practice skills and have fun. But to keep the trails in great condition maintenance is needed. Could you help?
Dig Days are in the pipeline, keep an eye on the Lee/Cragg Quarry Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/373374502868052/
Alternatively, if you visit the next Big Day Out on Sunday 5th March, look out for Sam Hopley and have a chat with him to find out more about volunteering.
