The volunteers have been meeting on the 2nd Sunday of every month to work on a new trail, with a working title of "The Long Way Down" its been built to last. Massive foundations of large rock or pitched stone have been hand laid before covering in course grade gravel.
If you want to help the digs are open to all, and there are perks for volunteers including car park passes for Gisburn or even the whole Northern England Forestry area (Grizedale, Whinlatter, Hamsterley & Kielder)
